Today's hottie is Anderson Cooper!!! Mmmm who wouldn't love to sit all day and watch him give the political reports? lol I know I would...
On Customers:
I want to say Thank you So Much to all who purchased from me yesterday. Every one of you. Thank you for supporting my shoppe and trusting in my designs to suit the needs of your memory preservation or your designing business. We all want quality product at our fingertips and that IS what I provide and thank you again. If any of you have any problem with any product of mine, do not hesitate to make me aware so that I can make it right.
On Michelle Obama:
Did you see her speak last night? Did you feel her?
I have been listening to her speak for nearly 20 months now. Who could call this woman elitist? Who could call her unpatriotic (except those that are bent on taking quotes out of context and proportion). Such a beautiful woman - and even more worthy a quality - such a REAL woman. She always speaks with such vigor there is never any doubt that she believes fully in her husband, herself, and the plan for this great nation. She reflects me and reaffirms the things I am sure to constantly tell my daughters - they can do anything they want. They're live's outcome is up to them. I thank God for putting someone like her in a position so that all can see that anyone, not just silverspooners, can affect change. Anyone, from the most humble beginnings even, can attain levels of influence to be used in a most positive manner. I think a first lady as poised and yet relaxed, as intelligent and yet 'down home', as independant and yet playing for the team can only lift the women, the young girls in our nation up to another level in what they expect from themselves.
It is so time out for the behind the scenes First Lady. Someone that is up front with her husband, FOR her husband as the President (fingers crossed) is something that I believe can only help. Let our nation continue to make strides that make the world turn it's head and look at us and think "Ohhhhh they're coming along over there...coming along indeed". Let us begin to be a leader of the world, not just in arms or force but in social acceptance and a changing of the status quo.
It does my heart so so so good to see a Black Woman that is NOT Oprah expose themselves for scrutiny and for that spotlight to only reveal a nature that is likable and of good quality. Our young black women and brown little girls are in such need of role models that come from where they come from, have been through the things they've been through...and can show them, just in being who they are, that they too have a chance.
Although I am my daughters' first role model, I am extremely excited to mark Michelle Obama as a good 3rd (after my mom) lol.
