Spread too thin, lifestyle changes, new kits and SALES

Alright y'all.....it seems I thought I had myself spread a weeee bit too thin, but I'm keeping this together, and meeting all deadlines, so I'm not doing so bad as I thought. I'm tasked (or rather, I volunteered) to do a portion of the Divine Digital july mega kit, but I'm feeling totally uninspired. *sigh*. I think it's because the colors aren't rocking me AND I've got a few kit ideas in my head.
Starting in July I'll be hosting a bi-weekly product-driven chat/challenge which I hope will be interesting. It will give one person the opportunity to get all new releases for 1 month free, and others to get a percentage off some new releases. Yippee!!!

I just released a new kit earlier this week called 2 Little Girls. My darlings love themselves some pink, so this kit is full of it. It's sold for $5.50 at Divine Digital and at Digitals. You can also get it as papers only or elements only. The bonus for the combined purchase as the full kit is that it includes an easily embellished quickpage. Below are previews of the elements and the papers.

I'm having a 30% off sale on July 5/6/7 and Digitals is having a store-wide sale for July 4th....so one of those 3 days my personal store will be 50% off. Can you believe your good fortune? hahaha

Oh, I want to share this photo of my honies, i LOVE this picture and can't believe I haven't scrapped it yet.

Speaking of lifestyle changes, I just joined a low-carb eating LIFESTYLE called Kimkins. So...my goal is to go from 220 lb to 150 lb by the end of the year. 70 lbs to lose. I can't do ANYTHING cold turkey, so today, yesterday Friday and Saturday I'm having all the goodies I won't be able to have for the first few weeks of my new lifestyle plan. I will need your prayers for good attitude and personal discipline.

Oh yes, if you're not aware (and I should REALLY put blinkies on my sidebar) I'm part of Miki Ferkul's and Grace Bennett's Creative Teams, and starting July 2nd, every 1st and 3rd Monday I'll be posting a quote challenge on Grace's blog, which you can find here. So, if you participate in that, you'll go into a drawing fo a 25% off coupon. Yayyy coupons yummy..

That's it for now folks.

Whaaaatt Doooooeeessssss the YYYeeelllllooooowwwwww Liiiighhhhtt Mean?!?!

So, last night michael and I watched Taxi reruns on DVD last night. It's so funny, if you've never seen it, you gotta.
Rev. Jim is CRAZY. He's like a super pre-curser to Kramer, only MORE KRAMER THAN KRAMER is KRAMER. Does that make any sense at all? Probably not...but you get my meaning.
Literally, ALLLL the stuff he said/did was funny, but you've GOTTA watch this scene, it's totally crazy...and Christopher Lloyd was the perfect guy for it. Trust me....
Here's the link to the Slow Down Scene

Blog Prompt 6/21/07: Your Personal Driver's Eduation, What Was It Like?

DUDE I LOVE TO DRIVE!!!!!! I have my windows down usually and my music loud...not LOUD...not LOUD but loud....

Hmm...I learned in High School. It was a regular class I guess. Part of it was classroom work, part of it was driving around and between cones on school property, then part of it was driving in traffic - we even drove on the interstate highway. WOW. I was impressed, and I guess I didn't do to poorly, I got my 15 year old restricted license. I never used it though.

In fact, I never even drove until I got married. I always kept my DL up to date and whatnot, but I literally couldn't drive, so Michael had to re-teach me. Now though, I'm the better driver of the two of us....at least I think so....

My favorite parking is to back in. It can get really hairy sometimes, but I'm really good at it. Oh, and parallel parking too. Dh always asks me to do it...cause i'm the bomb parker lol. Sometimes, I park so pretty I amaze myself! hehehehehe

Baby's Got A Blog!!!!

Alright.....so after weeks of consideration, I did it. I got my oldest Ds (noelle) a blog. So, if you're reading this, and you have a little time, I'd love for you to give her some love. The comments are on moderation, for obvious reasons, but she'll see them as I approve them.

Also, if you know of any more blogs that are kept by kids undr 15, I'd love a link to them. She would be really inspired. There's a blinkie on the side with a link to her blog.

Speaking of Noelle, here's a layout I did of her last night.

In other news, Dh mentioned this morning that he's thought about moving back to NYC. Now, I should mention that 'back' only refers to Dh, as I've always lived in Florida. So, I told him on a scale of 1-10, if he's thinking about it at a level of seriousness at 5 or above, we can talk about it. But, not until then., Admittedly, I've thought of it because the crime rate here in Orlando is ATROCIOUS. I abhor watching the news because everyday it seems there's a stabbing or shooting or an outright murder - and this crap isn't just reserved for the strange and wildly incosidered local youth. It's happening in all walks of life around here. From hoodlum teens to well educated upper society types.

Truthfully, I'm not EXCITED about the prospect of Orlando's future, but neither am I pleased by the thought of moving so far away from my mom, not to mention the cost of living vs income - would it be worth it? Things that are making me go hmmmm

HAHAHAHAHAHA

The other day (Sunday) during family prayer, Noelle was thinking about the phrase that is prevalent (sp?) in the Christian community that tells the Devil to get under your feet. Well, she said "Satan, I don't belong to you, get out of my feet". I was trying sooo hard not to laugh out loud so I just squeezed Dh's hand. Hard. He wasn't having a problem not laughing. Oops.

Hmm..oh yeah...I'm working on a new kit. It's cute, really cute, says my CT. They oughta know too, they've seen it. You want a sneak preview? Okay, don't bite my head off. I'll give you one.

I don't really have much more to say...but keep your eyes peeled for the new stuff lol.

HUGE SALE & Blog Prompt

Blog Prompt 6/15/07: At 10 years old, what were your thoughts/feelings about growing up.

Heck, I hae no real remembrance. I do know that I didn't want to have kids, but now I've got 2 of the best little girls ever. I remember thinking that my mom had a good job, and I wanted one to. She was in civil service, and voila, so am I. I DO recall saying that my house would have all 24k gold fixtures, including the toilet flush handle. Where the heck are my gold fixtures huh? I guess civil service doesn't equal gold fixtures. Hmph. I guess that's pretty much the extent of it. Hopefully I'll do much better at recording my daughters' hopes and dreams while they're young so that when THEY both blog, they'll be able to recount these sorts of things with no problem. Hey...I wonder how they'd like a blog of their own. How cool would I be as a mom if I let them share a blog of their own? WAYYYY COOL that's how cool!!! I'm going to ask them. Sorry, that went from prompt to blather..

oh, one more thing. If you like my stuff, you might get a sweet surprise if i catch ya sporting this blinkie:

Oh, I have a fan!!!! I really do. Her name is maxene and she is so nice. Whenever she scraps with my products, she always praises them. It's so nice to see. You probably don't see her. She's a member of the yahoo group, layouts. Thanks Maxene, you're lovely!

Finally, a bit about my ONE DAY ONLY SALE!!!

My Weekend Update & A Personal Rant

This weekend was semi-crazy. First, my Divine Digial store sold hardly NOTHING. *sigh* oh well...maybe I did better at Digitals *prayer hands*. Secondly, my Dad & Stepmom came in town for the day, and we spent a little time together which was nice. I had to drop off and pick up Dh from Ocoee Saturday for Rehearsal with the church (he plays Bass Guitar) and i'm soooo glad to say that Willie's Ribs was open (He's not open on Sunday, and since that's normally the only day I'm out there, I've never gotten to taste any of his ribs) Well, I am happy to say that Saturday I was able to buy some and good gracious!!!! They were the BEST ribs I've ever had. Seriously, the meat LITERALLY fell right off the bone. And they gave you a LOT (5 ribs) on 2 slices of traditional white wonder bread...it just doesn't get any better than that.

The girls had a birthday party to attend. Not much to tell there, a bunch of girls under the age of 9 running around with a few 4 year olds, a 3 year old and 3 infants. Joy. Thank the Lord I wasn't the one throwing th party.

Sunday we had family prayer in the early morning (abou 10:30ish) because instead of going to church we went to Universal Studios. We had a blast, and it was both parts (universal and universals' islands of adventure) for just $120.00...for all 4 of us. I took not as many photos as I thought I would, but I did take a good amount, some of which are photos of all of us with Spider-Man, photo of me with Lucille Ball, and various photos of the girls in various places.

I didn't do a single lick of work (design wise) this weekend, which was in-line with my 7 days of designing break. That's over starting today though. Oh, and I started a diet at sparkpeople.com I hope to do well on it, especially since you can change the meal plans to suit what you ate, which is good because I won't have to do a bunch of shopping and stuff.

Now, my rant.

We rented Norbit this weekend...with no intention of showing the girls, it was just for Dh and I to watch, but.... I can't believe it. The disclaimer says "warning, sexual nudity, adult situations, language" or something close to that...and the damn movie is rated PG-13. P G 13????? Is this where we are? Movies like this are slated to be in a section of films that the industry says kids can watch this, the parents just need to know they'll see these adult things.

I am at a loss for words. Really.

Revamping Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm revamping
my kit style
my blog (bit by bit, so slow it's probably very unnoticed *smile*)
my website (no no, please don't go there, I won't link you and there's nothing to see)

I really have NADA to say today, except that we're having "awards" at work....I'm campaginging for "nicest" but I'm sure that I'm going to NOT get it. It's true, most sarcastic, or most sassy will be definite wins. Oh well. I sent all the employees Godiva Chocolate via Email. Maybe that will sway them :)

Im taking a week off of designing. I've got to get some serious scrapping done and I've got some totally miki-licious stuff on my harddrive that I have to use...or else .... or else .... it will just sit there....decaying in batches of 1s and 0s....and we can't have that can we digi girls?

I applied for a spot on digidares team. There's so much talent in the running!!! If I don't get a spot, I won't be disappointed. But, my style is so clean and simply, totally unlike any of the current darers' layouts, so stylewise I might not be a good fit....at least I put my hat in though.

Yippee !!!! I'm QOTD !!!

That's Queen of the Day over at DigiShopTalk !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today's blog prompt is to discourse (heheheeh) on the method of travel for your family vacations when you were between 5-10. Well folks, I can't answer that. When I was growing up we never went on a single 'family' vacatioin. We weren't super poor, but we were defintely part of the what the government calls "working poor" which I guess a lot of single parent 3+ children families are.... Anyway, never took any family vacations. The only vactions were the ones I took when my mom drove me to GA to see my grandparents for the summer. It wasn't all of us, it was just me. Then she drove pack and picked up me up at the end of the Summer.

Dh and I make certain that we vacation each and ever summer,. and many times during the spring and winter as well. We're not rich by any means, but that's where TIME SHARE comes in handy, and not being locked into one stupid week the same dumb week every year. Michael and I make sure our girls have the experiences of traveling to different places and seeing different things. Even if we just spend a week a a beach in north or south florida.

And so far, we always drive.

My Chest Broke

Today's blog prompt is to recount funny stories you heard about yourself from before you were 3. I don't have anything like this in my NEAR memory...but I have one from when I was 4 that my mom didn't have to remind me about....I showed my natural behind (figuratively speaking) at my brother's 1st birthday party and before cake was served I was laying in bed crying with a burning butt.
Now...other stuff:
Well, not my physical chest as in the place where my heart is....my products chest....see the previous post. Wanna know what kinda goodies were in it? Well, first off....let me review my weekend. It was Dh's birthday (49th) so we played Glow in the Dark Mini Golf, then we went to see Bug (totally sucked) and Pirates of the Carribean (totally DID NOT suck). That was a good birthday and he enjoyed himself. The trouble now is what do I do for the big 5-0? I'm really wanting to throw a big party...well....not BIG, but about 15 people, not including me and the girls. I want his Mom and Son and Best friend to fly down from NYC, and I am wondering how I can get the money for them to fly down w/o him seeing it come from the account...*sigh* maybe I can take out 15-20/wk for the rest of the year and buy tickets in january. Thinking thinking...

Now....about the chest that I dropped and broke. The first thing that fell out was a $5.00 coupon to my store. That's outta there, i threw it away.
(all upcoming images are links)
The 2nd thing that dropped out was a great quickpages 4-pack:

Then a whole KIT dropped out - 56 mb worth of totally cool boy kit (that also happens to be available in papers only and elements only.

Then a small set of distressed and flourished and rounded corner 5 x 7 frames tumbled out.

After that this pack of 8 12 x 12 page frame overlays came out (the corners are not rounded, so they cut my foot!)

Just when I thought I'd picked up all my mess, I found these ribbon borders that are twisted & embellished on the ground.

Geez, no WONDER I dropped that chest, it was PACKED! Hope you get in on the next one!

Grab Bag Sale

Okay..so I'm falling asleep at my keyboard right now. Seriously, literally...i was up until 2 freaking a.m. so, not a long post today. just my grab bag ad (trust me though, this thing is huge. over 150 mb)

here's a link to where you can get it. $2.00

New Subject:
Today I made a split second decision to apply for something. It was so excited while I was typing out all my answers, and I'm hoping that my eagerness shines through. You know how the internet can really muck up what you're saying.

Also:
Today is Michael (dh)'s birthday. I had a nice surprise for him this morning and the girls made hand made cards...it was all nice roses. But, the challenge is tomorrow. He wants to do something really nice. I was thinking mini golf, followed by the movies, followed by dinner...but I'm thinking my intended baby sitter won't be available. Not only that, but he turned 49 this year, so I've gotta really get it in gear as far as planning for his 50th birthday next year. I wonder how much it would be to have a dinner party and have a special guest Super Hero impersonator be present. Like Bruce. Oh, excuse me, Batman. That's his favorite. Well, 364 days to plan for it.....wish me luck.

Oh, really do grab that heavy chest full of goodies....i wouldn't kid ya, it's totally worth it.
