Musings and Blog Prompt 4/20/07: Think of One Person In Your Life and Pick One Song That Describes Them

Whoa, okay...Blog Prompt first, 1 person and their descriptive song eh? Hmmm, a little harder than I thought it'd be. I think the one that's the easiest to find a song for would be my 6 year old, Alexis, and the song is "you are my sunshine". Now, you all know that I have two daughters, so I'm not saying that the other one ISN'T sunshine, but Alexis is the EPITOME of sunshine. When she smiles she's still got that ubercuteness going on, whereas Noelle, she's getting more into the big girl stage, and gives me a lot of smiles that are uhm....contrived. The only time I get the sunshiney smiles is when she's caught herself off guard, so with that explanation in mind. Look at these picks, doesn't the girl just LOOK like sunshine? geeeeez.

Blog Prompt 4/19/07: What is the most tedious or boring part of your daily routine/job? What is the most creative?

In my job, as probably in most jobs, it varies. However, the most Gosh Awful boring thing HAS to be VOIR DIRE (this is latin for "To Speak The Truth") and it's the question process that PROSPECTIVE Jurors go through once they're summoned a courtroom. It really does suck for ME. It almost never fails, unless the attorney is asking a question that's extremely interesting, I'm trying everything in the BOOK to stay awake. Seriously. Most times it's the same questions over and over and over and over and over again.

I could tell you secret things to say and/or attitudes to show that would you get you out of being on a Jury, but I won't. Those of you that read my old blog know exactly how I feel about Jury Service.

Now, I was so astounded by all the 'COLOR'ful facts from yesterday's prompt, I decided to post some facts about my favorite color also. So, here's my first foray into the 'yesterdays of blog prompts'

Some Schtuff On Black

Black absorbs all light in the color spectrum.
Black is associated with sexuality, formality, and sophistication.
In ancient Egypt, black represented life and rebirth.
Black is often used in fashion because of its slimming quality.
Black lingerie is a must -have in any wardrobe of elegance

My list isn't nearly as long as the other colors. Hmph. I will have to do further research. I would put black color phrases, but they're all (but one) negative. I take umbrage at THAT. Hmph. Not for the reason you might be thinking either lol. The one positive 'black' colored phrase is....when it comes to finances, EVERYONE WANTS TO BE IN THE BLACK! heheh

Blog Prompt Entry: What's Your Favorite Color?

My favorite color is black/neutral. I'm no small chick, so they look better ON me. Plus, they're sorta sexy colors I think. I'm married but I still like to be as sexy as I can for good ol' dh lol. Also, EVERYTHING matches them. When I first started designing, and made this kit:

I was so happy because it just flowed right out of me. very scrapable too lol.
. Anyway, black is not as harsh a color as people think. It can be softened up with any light color and makes pictures and other things pop - that would look just 'regular' if they weren't placed against black. Browns and neutral tones are so warming, how could ya not like them? I've always loved both these colors since colors, but I recognize that I have to learn to yield to other colors as well, to be a more..well rounded decorater at least lol. black and brown aren't the best colors for holiday decorations lol, and everyone KNOWS how much I love the CHRISTMAS !!!!

Okay, now that that's done, I am so super excited, I have a secret a secret a se se se se se secret. It's about my designing....actually it's about my SELLING my designs....Don't ask, I'm not telling..I'll tell on 5/1/07. hehehe I know you wanna know cause I wanna tell ya !!!

Okay, here's some information that's exciting to ME but not a secret...NEXT THURSDAY IS BRING YOUR KIDS TO WORK DAY and this is the first year my oldest seen here--->is old enough to go. The age limits are 8 - 13 and I'm so psyched and so is she. I feel a little bad that the youngest can't come too, but she'll get her turn in 2 years. By that time Noelle will probably be tired of coming anyway. I can't really handle the thought of BOTH GIRLS being here at my job at the same time, allllll daaayyyy loooonnnggg lol. So, that's next Thursday and we BARELY made it in under the deadline, since we're going out of town on Friday. Boy, what fortune!!!

Now. you know by reading the other entries in my blog that I can rant, boy can I. One's coming up now. Sorry dudes.

WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE GOING CRAZY???? It really tears my heart up to think of all the people that kill so wantonly. Individual murders are bad enough. Murders of couples and families absolutely horrible, but murders of entire groups of innocent people??? That's absolutely insane. I am glad that my God is merciful, because my personal feeling is that these people, excuse me, these MONSTERS belong in hell, right with the one that told them it was a good thing to do. If you're reading this and you don't believe in angels and demons, i'm sorry, but it's my blog, and I do. I can't see any other possibility of people going off in these murderous rages this way unless they were prompted to do so by some absolutely evil force.

We have enough freaks and crazies here in the States WITHOUT rotten snotty nosed stalker people bringing their nasty tendencies over here to add to what we've already got. What is the problem? I will tell you what the problem is, well, actually I won't because I don't wanna alienate. Okay, I will....these are signs of the times. The end times. You know what I'm talking about it. What else could it be? Goodness gracious. I'm working myself up into a frenzy. I better get on to a better more lighthearted subject.
