Baby Steps and Late Beginnings

I think that I haven't taken my job as a digikit designer as seriously as I thought I was - and definitely not as seriously as I should have been. Well, that's all changing in the next few weeks (month or so?).

I'm going to be launching a website that I hope will generate more traffic and more sales - My blog will continue to be my blog, but hopefully I will update it more regularly with not just scrapable postings but personal ones as well. I miss being an ACTIVE part of the bloggers group over at DSPlace and I need to work that back into my life some way. It's very inspiring.

I am also taking Tandika's Digi Designs Mentor Protege program. I'm so loving it. You do real 'homework' both on the business side of things as well as the creative. Also, there's no rushing around or anything like that you can get things done when YOU have the time to do. It's really work at your own pace and go with your personal flow. If you've never had the pleasure of working one of Tandika's tutorials, you're missing out on learning how to create some awesome items as well as learning about your program.

Anyway, the first 'creative track' homework we did was a layout about ourselves. I'll post it here so you all can see it. If you're reading this I hope you enjoy it and I also hope that you'll keep on track with where I'm going as a designer - and DEFINITELY be looking out for great things from me. I plan to really dig my heels in and make this the job for ME!

Customer Appreciation

Alright....so it's quite obvious that I have customers, as my products are selling...but in crazy way, it's like I DON'T have the customers, because I can't find out anything about them....this leaves me in a strange situation of not being able to be of great service to my customers and not being able to reward them.

So....here's what I've come up with. I'm going to create on my website a page that both thanks and welcomes my customers and create a newsletter so that I can keep up with them. I hope this will work - it's such a huge undertaking though *sigh* I'm so sure that it will be well worth it though.

I am hoping to 'launch' this part of my site in a few days - and barring any unforseen interruptions in development, that will happen. Okie dokes...
